To perform meniscus matching, the following steps are necessary:

  • 1
    Download documents

Please download the two provided documents, the guideline „Requirements for Imaging for the DIZG Matching Process“ and the „Matching Request for a Meniscus Transplant.“

The guideline informs you about the requirements for X-ray and MRI images so that we can evaluate them correctly and carry out the matching process.

  • 2
    Upload matching request

Upload the document „Matching Request for a Meniscus Transplant“ with the required information, as well as the imaging, via the upload portal (button „Start Meniscus Matching“) and fill in the necessary fields.

After successfully uploading your data, you will receive a confirmation email.

  • 3
Check and feedback from the DIZG

After the review is completed, you will receive an email with the form „Menisus Graft Matching.“

This form includes the patient’s dimensions, measurement images, and a transplant recommendation if a suitable transplant is available.

  • 4
    Confirmation

By confirming with your signature and returning the form „Matching of a Meniscus Transplant“ to graftmatching@dizg.de, you acknowledge this matching recommendation.

  • 5
    Order Meniscus

You will receive the order form from our Graftmatching Team, which you complete and return it to graftmatching@dizg.de.

For correct measurement, the condyles must be congruent sagittally. Please refer to our DIZG Guideline.
